~We cut to Marcus Welsh seated inside his chartered ‘yacht’. They are clearly out at sea, taking the ‘long’ way around the interior of the Triangle en route to Bermuda. He’s in the middle of a zoom call with some nameless reporters fielding questions regarding Night 2 of the Trials~
Marcus Welsh: Alright, I’m here. Let’s get this show on the road. Shark Week isn’t going to watch itself.
Reporter: Did you see that one about the Bermuda Triangle Serial Killer Shark?
~Welsh removes this reporter from the call~
Marcus Welsh: Next.
Reporter 2: I guess my question would be the loss suffered by Thad Duke. Heading into Night 2 he appeared to be your best bet at securing a piece of the TRIAD. Is your confidence shaken in Thad following his inability to put Catalina Cortes away?
Marcus Welsh: I know what you’re trying to do. Given the history Thad and I have you think one loss might give you and everyone else an opportunity to create some dissension between the two of us. Well, it’s not going to work. Thad continues to operate at a high level...higher than most. And, had it not been for the distraction of multiple Helenas...he would have won that match, no doubt. My confidence in Thad has never been stronger.
Reporter 3: How about your other favorite, the #1 pick Stephen Stratford. Feeling a little better about his chances after his big win on Tuesday?
Marcus Welsh: Again, I was never not confident in Stratford’s ability. Night 1 was merely the beginning of what should wind up as an epic victory for Team Welsh. You gotta spend to make, ya know. Stratford came out on Night 2 and he did what every person with a brain expected him to do. He took care of business.
Reporter 4: What’s up with Alexander Raven? He’s one of only two wrestlers in the Trials without a point. Are you losing faith in him? Should you have drafted Nickleman or Glum?
Marcus Welsh: Your face looks stupid. Raven was the right pick. I mean, have you all not been paying attention? Kane robbed him of a win on Night 1. LCP robbed him of a win on Night 2. Raven SHOULD be 2-0. But, that’s okay. He’s going to get all that sorted on Night 3. Alexander is the OG Raven and he is TRIAD worthy. Now, go put on a mask or something to hide your stupid face.
Reporter 5: Martina Richards...she was obviously hired by you to handle some Team Welsh business. She did so by attacking Vhodka. However, that did not appear to sit well with Sarah Wolf. What are your future intentions with Martina...is she going to be in Bermuda?
Marcus Welsh: War isn’t all that complicated. You assemble the biggest and strongest force you can and then you outmaneuver and crush your opponent. Martina is another weapon at our disposal. She is available to help us accomplish our goal whenever she is needed. She knows what being a team player is all about. Martina will be available, should I call on her, in Bermuda.
Reporter 6: We saw a lot of Demi Stratford. The most this world has seen of someone named Demi since Striptease came out in the 90s. How’s your relationship with Demi? Did you guys ever have that ‘date’ and what type of impact will she have moving forward?
Marcus Welsh: I will keep my personal dealings with a lady the magnitude of Demi Stratford private, thank you very much. As far as her impact? She tripped Helena up, didn’t she? She threw Knox for a loop, right? Stratford was victorious with her in his corner, correct? If you ask me, she’s had an overwhelmingly positive impact for Team Welsh thus far. I’m all for more Demi.
Reporter 7: The elephant in the room, sir. Sarah Wolf. What’s going on there? She didn’t seem to exactly ‘go along’ with the Team Welsh plans in her match. She refused to let Vhodka tap out as Leo suggested and when Vhodka was attacked, giving her an opportunity to get the win, she chased Martina Richards from the ring. What’s up with Sarah Wolf?
Marcus Welsh: …
~Welsh thinks~
Marcus Welsh: She needs to get with the fucking program. That’s all I’ll say. Nah, I’ll say more. Sarah Wolf was drafted to represent Team Welsh. Deals were made. She needs to hold up her end of the bargain. Everything I’ve done for her...everything I have planned to do for her is about getting her to the top of TRIAD. And now she wants to refuse my offers? She wants to display independent thought...independent thought detrimental to the cause? Nah. I drafted her into TRIAD. She represents me and my team. She’s gonna get with the program, or else.
~Everyone on zoom seems to think this statement isn’t exactly going to help things~
Reporter 8: Sooo...does that mean you expect her to fight Vhodka on Night 3 rather than work together?
Marcus Welsh: Vhodka is the enemy. The sooner she gets that the sooner she can put her down. And...look, I really don’t care if their hands are holding each other or punching one another in the face so long as Sarah Wolf does everything she can for the betterment of Team Welsh. That is her sole purpose. That is her mission. That is who she is in these Trials.
Reporter 9: Finally, sir. Leo. He’s been missing since Tuesday. Abducted during the Main Event. Is there any update?
Marcus Welsh: Nah. But I’m sure he’ll turn up.
Reporter 9: Aren’t you kinda concerned he might be, I don’t know, forced into sex slave labor?
Marcus Welsh: Yea, right. But, sure, I’m concerned. Hey, Leo, if you’re watching this...get back soon. You have four matches that need to be called on Night 3 in Bermuda. We done?
~Welsh realizes he’s not in a press conference and has total power over this session so he just closes everything out and we cut to black~
