Hope you all enjoyed the Night 5! If you haven't already seen the results they can be found here.
We'd love it if you all left a review. I'm going to post a small form for you to fill out. You can do that or you can just leave your thoughts, however long, in this thread!
We look forward to bringing you Night 6 of the Strength Trials in 2 weeks! Thanks so much for all the work you have put into TRIAD!
How would you rate Night 5 on a scale of 1-10? What was the best match? What was the best spot? What was the best segment? What was the best line(s) of commentary? Best moment of the show? Most shocking moment of the show? Suggestions? Anything else you'd like to add:
I'm hard pressed to ever give anything a perfect rating, but this is as good as I've seen in terms of action, storytelling, character continuity, and detail throughout. Little things the announcers say to add "color" to the action is simply top notch, and it shows you are paying attention to the individual personalities and stories involved.
What was the best match?
I'm not entirely okay with my bias here, as I would rarely choose matches my character is involved in, but I'm still going with Strat vs Dio vs Sahara vs Nickleman. The storytelling and psychology carried this match throughout, taking each of their personalities and characters into careful consideration, and putting them on full display.
Sahara and Strat teaming up against the indominable Dionysus was a great way to lay out this match without "hurting" or "no selling" the characters immense size and strength advantage. The same can be said for Nickleman, with his unhinged decision making, leading to their downfall with his refusal to even the odds and help Dio fight off Strat/Sahara.
The near falls worked and served to build anticipation throughout. There were multiple times in this match where I thought Sahara had been eliminated, and while I was disappointed in the moment, I was still okay with it given how the match was laid out and felt like an all-out war... only to see her saved.
Twice.
The finish was perfect -- again, ignoring my bias -- I was fully anticipating Demi shoving Sahara off the ropes and costing her. I was more than surprised by the actual end.
This was the best match Sahara has ever been a part of.
What was the best spot?
I don't know why, but I really enjoyed the Gloria Estefan "Turn the Beat Around" moment with Catalina and Marx. I'm usually not into this sort of silly stuff in wrestling, but somehow you made this work and I wasn't just okay with it, I loved it.
What was the best segment?
I'm gonna go with Triumvirate and Alias.
Default judgement.
What was the best line(s) of commentary?
Huge ovation from the fans as Marx dramatically brings the mic from his mouth and slings it back toward Belvedere, who manages to snare it just in time. The fans chant “MARX! MARX MARX!”
MoMo: It appears Harvey has won these fans over.
Welsh: Sounds like we’ve got a bunch of commies out here.
That's it.
This exchange won Sahara's everlasting adoration of Welsh.
Best moment of the show?
I thought the opening introduction was amazing. It brought a big show feel, and highlighted the competitors as if individual video packages were created for the teams in question so the viewer would understand what they were about to witness. It's stuff like this that sets the stage, and sets this place apart from so many others.
Most shocking moment of the show?
Sahara winning.
I was genuinely shocked... there is no other word I have for it.
Suggestions?
This isn't so much of a suggestion, as I'm not really sure what the answer to this could be, but segments can sometimes feel awkward when they involve characters that have already competed, but what went down is completely ignored.
I know that's because those writing the segments have no knowledge of the finishes, especially when they're probably writing them before the show is written, but it creates a feeling of disconnect and disrupts the flow.
Again, I'm not entirely sure what can be done to prevent this.

How would you rate Night 5 on a scale of 1-10? Solid 8. Like Bravery, the first Night has teething issues, but is still an incredibly solid show.
What was the best match? Going with the Main Event on this one. Fresh stipulation, was probably the best written in terms of incorporating all 4 members, consistently through-out the match. I think the outcome here really set us up for a series of shocks and surprises going forward.
What was the best spot? Probably the double save on Sahara from Strat. In terms of storytelling this worked really well, particularly in the build to the finish. I guess it's kind of a double spot, but I think these spots added THE MOST to that match.
What was the best segment? Alias and Triumvirate segment. I like seed sowing, and even if its nothing but a red herring, I enjoyed it.
What was the best line(s) of commentary? MoMo: Aren’t you going to help Dickie out like TLS and PIC did their team member? Welsh: He’s good. He’ll be fine.
Best moment of the show? Same as the spot, the double save, and by connection the Sahara win. I think what may seem like surprise outcomes in the first and final matches really makes Strength feel like a far more dangerous field than it may have originally felt. Everyone can be a winner here. Even Dadbod. Most shocking moment of the show? Dadbod win, honestly.
Suggestions? Might just have been a bad week for it, but I do think more segments would go a long way. Particularly for those who may not be as closely connected with the 'power' characters. I'm sure Team TLS will probably have more segments next time with Knox having been noted as a big pusher for team segments and such. But I think it would make it easier for Welsh writing things, as well as others getting to know the other characters if there was more segments, beyond just the Triumvirate and associated with them/opposing them ones. Again, that's on everyone to get on that. Both members in the trials and out. I'm notoriously bad on it, but I'm going to try and make a bigger push for it. I think first night unsureness makes a point of it too.
Anything else you'd like to add: Something that was pointed out in Bravery early on, that was pretty quickly rectified. And I don't want to critique too harshly, because I really enjoy the way the matches were written. But, there was moments in some matches were it felt like there was paragraph after paragraph of only two people being mentioned. I think it was probably most noticeable in the Dio v Nickle v Sahara v Strat match. Less so as it went on, but early in the match it was very much a case of Nickle and Dio. I get that it was probably for a psychology standpoint. But just keeping it noted what the other two members are doing somewhat more regularly probably would help. Less of an issue with the Tag Matches coming up, I'd think. But Fatal Fourways are going to be difficult in the same was the Triple Threats were in keeping all names relevant throughout. I might be wrong, but that was just something I noticed as I was reading.
I know, I'm an owner. I shouldn't be giving feedback to one of my own shows.
However... I didn't have anything to do with the writing of this, it was ALL Will.
He took these characters, the storylines from the rps, and gave all 15 of them a chance to shine. Every character had storyline stuff that could easily be advanced, angles that can be built upon, and everyone came away looking stronger than they did coming in.
I know some will be disappointed in their placement in a match, that's part of the game. But in terms of writing and cultivating these characters, Will's the best in the business.
BUT...
He couldn't do any of it without the exquisite writing from each of you.
I said this in Discord but it bares repeating, on my own personal grading scale, last Trials out of 60 rps, I only graded 18 above 13/15 in overall score. This week alone, it was 8 of you reached that level. That's almost 200% increase in quality, and those are just my grades. Some of these matches were so close we had to go to the hundredths place when we averaged our grades together. The depth is UNREAL.
So this review goes to everyone. To Will, you're still the best in the biz. To the rest of you, you're ALSO the best in the biz. Glad I get to work with you all.

What was the best match? Alias / Seb / Sarah / Glumnox
What was the best spot? Everyone having their hands in each other's mouths in the first match
What was the best segment? Aliasumvirate
What was the best line(s) of commentary? Welsh: I think PIC wants to fuck Dadbod’s wife. Only plausible reason he’d draft him...Dadbod dies in the Trials and PIC comforts Mrs. Sadbod.
Best moment of the show? Knox returning
Most shocking moment of the show? Sahara snaking Stratford
Suggestions? More segments from the roster, more clarity over what the match rules are. As an example, I thought the main event was whoever gets the most of the stipulations would be the winner and this felt corroborated by Dickie breaking up pins to try to get his name on the board.. but then Dadbod won the match with a pin, so that was really unclear to me.
Anything else you'd like to add: This show felt much more cartoony than I've felt shows have been in the past. We have had spots here and there in the past but this one felt overdone? The dance-off, snapping steel chairs in half, immortal Dionysus, hole in the earth etc. Secondary to that, I think there was a really uneven balance in how some characters were portrayed, which is for sure something I've never seen before - making everyone look good has always been one of the hallmarks of the matchwriting in Triad, but I think in some cases it swung the other way to make others look bad.

I'm trying to be better as a person, which means doing feedback for every show, but otherwise no changes to my personal life and my treatment of other people. Anyway, here you go!
How would you rate Night 5 on a scale of 1-10?
I guess 8.5, but I have a hard time rating these because the results are a tier above a lot of e-fed results. I definitely see Raisin's point about teething issues, but still a banger way to kick off the season.
What was the best match?
Glummox / Alias / Sarah Wolf / SEB
Perfect opener to kick off season 2. New faces with SEB and Alias showcasing their abilities, Sarah Wolf returning from season one, and the drama of Knox popping back up. Glum will be missed, but Alias is already making his presence felt with the first win of the season against some heavy hitters. Stakes are immediately high, shit is already real.
What was the best spot?
Sahara waiting with the Venom Drop in case Dionysus kicks out of Stratford's pin, THEN hitting the Venom Drop on Strat after the pin was successful. Great piece of strategy showcased here, with Sahara putting herself in a position to strike regardless if Strat eliminated Dio or not.
I also referenced the handcuffs spot in Marx/Bacchus/Mancini/Cortes as a Sin City riff of Marv versus Kevin, particularly where Cat is handcuffed to Harvey, but I liked the cuffs becoming a recurring element in the match.
What was the best segment?
Triumvirate meets Alias. Like the establishment of inter-team dynamics, with the New Class meeting the Old Class.
What was the best line(s) of commentary?
Welsh: What the fuck happened? Did he become Slenderman Glum while passed out?
I appreciate Knox going full clown to sneak back in but also the concept of Slenderman Glum being put out into the world.
Best moment of the show?
Dadbod feels the power surging through Vhodka's Triad crown, like I love the idea that this wrestling match is over an artifact coursing with ancient, unknowable power like Dadbod just picked up an infinity stone and now everyone's scrambling for it for the rest of the match.
Most shocking moment of the show?
Breath of the Naga logo drop at the end, brought to you by an actual dragon. Just the phrasing of 'old and forgotten' giving me eldritch horror vibes. Very cinematic way to end your first episode of the season. Dig that we're going from ghost ships to ancient jungle ruins and nagas.
Suggestions?
Don't we have a form for that now? First show back, I think everyone is still finding their feet, but will have a better idea of what to expect going forward.
Anything else you'd like to add:
Happy Triad's back, maybe season two will be even bigger and grander and dragon-y-er than season one, let's fucking go.

I know I’m late, leave me alone.
How would you rate Night 5 on a scale of 1-10? A solid 7. Not because the matches were bad or anything but because of the lack of segments from the field. I’m to blame for this as much as everyone else, but with some segments to break things up the show jumps to a low 9.1.
What was the best match? The main event. It was perfectly written and with a surprise of a winner.
What was the best spot? I’m a sucker for spots with my characters so Mancini taking the chair to Marx while Cat could only watch was awesome and showed a lot for all the characters involved.
What was the best segment? N/A
What was the best line(s) of commentary? “LCP Died for our Sins!”
Best moment of the show? The opening on these shows are always fantastic and Will takes great pride in making sure that everyone gets some shine even in a losing effort. So it’s not just one moment it’s the series of little moments.
Most shocking moment of the show? Some of the winners I guess but that’s to be expected in a subjective hobby like this.
Suggestions? Just more segments from the field. Let’s really make Will work to make the show flow together.
Anything else you'd like to add: I forgot the Venmo payments this week, I’ll make sure to get them in early this time.
BONUS!!!!!!!!!! Feedback from Tribulations Radio:
I personally loved this method of doing it. Breaking down all the RP’s live and giving constructive feedback while also being honest about it was awesome. The tie really threw me for a loop but you guys handled it well, except for Bobby who wanted something else. Welcome to Democracy!
Super delayed here but I literally only got the whole show read this morning.
How would you rate Night 5 on a scale of 1-10? 6.75. Matches were all great but ran longer than my personal preference. The main thing missing was the lack of segments from the roster.
What was the best match? Nickleman vs. Dionysus vs. Stratford vs. Sahara. This told a great story throughout on multiple levels. Really good shit.
What was the best spot? The finish to the aforementioned match. Sold really well my the commentary and within the context of build up to the moment.
What was the best segment? Me because fuck you.
What was the best line(s) of commentary? Does Dadbod yelling "CANNONBALL!" count? Because that made chuckle out loud on the train like a weirdo.
Best moment of the show? Dionysus looking like a beast even in defeat.
Most shocking moment of the show? Ugh. Knox. Barf.
Suggestions? Different people have different preferences. Mine is for shorter matches. But that's just me. The matches were definitely good, so it's not a knock on the quality of them. I just struggle to get through the show in a timely manner (evidently) and keep up with rps.
Anything else you'd like to add: Can I get fries with that?
