The air suddenly feels just that slight bit heavier. Robed persons in the crowd rise to their feet, suddenly in places they surely weren’t just moments earlier. The chanted lines of the closing stanza of Dies Irae are chanted by these persons. A low lying smoke begins to fill the area, sitting close to the ground, obscuring people’s feet.

Ashton Mire: “Ladies and Gentlemen, please rise and bow your head. Standing at a measured Six Feet, Eight Inches tall and weighing in at two-hundred and eighty five pounds. Hailing from Where They Slumber, show your respect for Vita Mors!”

Just as quick as the robed figures had appeared, the Head of PR Ashton Mire, was standing at ringside microphone in hand. Bright white suit, hair slicked back. The very image of a sleazy car salesman in the flesh. His face drained of natural colour, dark bags under his eyes. Creeping veins creep above his shirt collar, an uncomfortable greying purple colour.

After the third chant, and the opening drum beat lands, a person steps out onto the stage. The towering figure, Vita Mors, clad in a black coat that hangs open, sleeves cinched tightly around the elbows. All exposed skin appears a charcoal colour. The top half of his face obscured behind a white mask, marred with red streaks. His face itself is starkly pale compared to his painted body, red smears around his mouth. Simple black tights, with the word VITA written down the left leg, and MORS down the right in bright white lettering.

The crowd is split. Both cheering supporters and jeering naysayers. Vita Mors begins a slow measured stride towards the ring. His focus is directly on the centre of the ring itself, not being distracted by the raucous onlookers. As he comes to stop at the edge of the ring apron, he drops his shoulders back and allows his coat to fall to the ground, reaching up towards the top rope and pulling himself up onto the apron. Wiping his shoes a few times he pushes the top rope down and steps over it, and into the ring.

As then as suddenly as it all started, it began to settle. The low lying smoke quickly dispelled. The robed figures in the crowd suddenly were nowhere to be seen, the heaviness of the air lifted. He stands in the middle of the ring, facing out into the crowd. Unbudging and unmoving. He just stands there.

Set up to Finisher - A shock catch-out manoeuvre. Reversal from a clothesline, catching a running opponent, or simply grabbing a drowsy opponent and hitting them with it. If there is a face to face with someone, there is a chance for the finisher to be hit.
