TRI-TIMES here with a special report!
Can we call it a special report?
It’s definitely not BREAKING NEWS.
Ah well, it’s a list. An impromptu list. So maybe we can call it something like ‘UNEXPECTED ANGER INDUCING PEER RANKINGS’.
That might be too aggressive.
Regardless, it’s a list. And it’s for fun so take it as such.
We are excluding previous Trials participants and competitors who entered during the Trials from this list.
And, as always, if you aren’t on this list don’t take it as anything personal. It’s just for fun. Has no bearing on anything meaningful moving forward.
So, let’s get into it...today we are going to look at the five Strength Trials competitors that have surprised or impressed our readers the most!
We ran a very real poll that asked alive human beings who they thought was the most impressive and/or surprising competitor in the Trials and, well, the results were interesting. Let’s get into them!
Dionysus – Yep, his name came up a lot! There were many who didn’t think Dionysus would get drafted let alone hold his own against this field. But the constantly confirmed XWF TV Champion has been nothing short of amazing in Cambodia. He’s proven to be a real force inside the ring while making some massive personal discoveries outside of it. TRIAD has been a difference making event for the pro wrestling veteran. We will all be watching with great interest to see how he finishes his story, in more ways than one, as we hit the final stretch toward Angkor Wat.
Johnny Bacchus – The biggest ‘snub’ of the draft. Bacchus was immediately scooped up by Triumvirate and became enemy #1 as far as the field and the fans were concerned. But, along the way, something crazy happened. Bacchus, the FIGHT Empire Champion, has proven to be more than just a card carrying member of the evil Triumvirates. He fights for a cause that goes beyond trickery and emotion. The fans and wrestlers have taken notice and Bacchus has earned the respect of his peers throughout the Strength Trials. How will he finish his story? We’re all eager to find out!
Dadbod – The joke of the draft. Dadbod took a verbal beating by some in the immediate days following his selection for Team PIC. And, rightfully so. What had he done to earn a spot over some of the legends working in this business? He could’ve given up. He could’ve quit. But, Dadbod stuck it out and gave it his all and, in the process, he’s defeated some of the true giants of this profession. He’s got a legit chance to earn his way into The Great Illuminatus on New Year’s Eve. How will this amazing underdog story end? It’ll be entertaining to watch it unfold!
Dickie Watson – It’s probably far fetched to say any form of success the former FIGHT Empire Champion attains is ‘surprising’ or ‘impressive’. Sadly, it’s almost expected. But, what wasn’t expected was the adversity Watson faced on Nights 5 and 6. The type of adversity that might send some of the bigger names in this sport packing. But, not Watson. He put his head down and went to work. On Night 7 he earned a massive victory for his team and on Night 8 he nearly dethroned TRIAD’s Ace. He heads into Angkor Wat full of pride and confidence as he looks to get himself and his team into The Great Illuminatus. Where will this story’s trajectory take us? We’re all very excited to find out!
Anthony Mancini – Probably the biggest unknown of all the competitors that enlisted for the Strength Trials. No way he’d get drafted, right? Wrong. Not only did Mancini get drafted, but he won the Team TLS division over some true heavyweights of pro wrestling. He now has a ¼ shot at winning the Strength Trials and claiming a piece of the TRIAD. His run has been everything a fan of pro wrestling loves to see take place during these types of events. Overnight he’s gone from an unknown to a main event player. Can Mancini escape his story with freedom and victory? We’ll find out soon.
All 16 competitors in the Trials have impressed. They’ve all laid out their stories in detailed fashion. The end is coming and the pro wrestling world waits with great interest to see how it all unfolds.
Stay tuned.
Stick around.
We’ve come so far but we still have a long, long way to go.
Let the Trials Begin.
